The MWAH! Performing Arts Troupe in a pose for The Review newspaper right before their 90-minute performance in the gym of Erie High School. The show consisted of inspirational gospel, rock, pop, hip hop, country, and bluegrass - all conveying messages of hope. The teen troupe combined drama, hip hop dance, and both original and cover songs with a focus on what is hopeful and good in true life situations. A common thread was choices and the importance of continually striving to make the right ones.

Sharing her experiences following a single-vehicle crash was Kassie Snyder, whose recovery has included eight brain surgeries, skin grafts, and physical therapy as she has relearned to walk, speak, and write. Her comments were a featured part of the MWAH! presentation, which also focused on four Erie High School students who have been recognized by their peers as 'local heroes' for their positive attitudes toward life and their abilities to overcome physical adversity. Recognized as MWAH! troupe members sang 'Hero' to them were Kurt Wolf, Latrice Martens, Aaron Blair, and Kassie Snyder
